Promo CD 2008-2009 Aggrotech, Dark Electro Anamadim Anamadim is the project of Mexican Yogao Otomo where the Otomo is an acknowledgment to Katsuhiro Otomo that was the creator of Akira and that's not so far fetched since the music reeks of cyberpunk and industrial techno. This demo contains five instrumental tracks, two tracks where singers are featured and five remixes. I'm going to leave the remixes behind, since I think it?s pretty irrelevant to write about them, but I will mention that the remixed bands are Sublagrimal, Trakktor, Menschdefekt, Stahlnebel vs Black Selket and Adam Kult. The instrumental tracks have all great and well varied sounds and the use of samples are smart and fit right into its purpose, "Mementos de Nostalgia" and "Butcher's Lullaby" is great examples of this, especially the first one that is just awesome. The soundscape is great and the music is intriguing indeed, but Anamadim reaches even higher when a singer is featured like in "Respond My Call" where Ralph from Stahlnebel is featured and especially in "Armageddon" where Fredrik from Menschdefekt is behind the microphone. Strangely enough the instrumental track "Mementos de Nostalgia" is still going to be my favourite on this one (which reminds me a lot of "Electronaut" by VNV Nation) and it's sure highly addictive indeed, but my suggestion is that Yugao find himself a great front man on vocals, then there's no stopping for Anamadim to be one of the top Mexican bands together with Hocico, Amduscia and C-Lekktor. 450
