Yea, yea, yea, I know. This really doesn't have all that much to do with music, but, fuck it, I've been wanting to write a bit more about the alternative scene every now and then, and I guess this is my threshold to that ultimate goal.

Trigger Warning is an online publication that I have recently discovered, chuckled at, and agreed with on many different stances that both the staff and contributors have written about. To put it in their own words, here is an excerpt from their "About" section on their official website:

"We are an online publication for ideological deviants who realize that most other deviants and intellectuals have now lost their ability to see outside the mainstream box of political correctness. We declare that they have lost their radical edge and become slaves to a new type of conformity. Our job is to bring the radical edge back to the intellectual world. We recognize that we now must directly confront the decline that so many sit back and enjoy."

Anyway, Rachel Haywire (creator of Trigger Warning) and Ann Sterzinger (Co-Editor) are both currently running an IndieGoGo campaign to raise funds for their publication. They are seeking to pay for professional writers, editors, pay for publicity and marketing, staff training, professional graphics, legal odds and ends, and parties for their fans.

Many of the perks come with physical items, such as pins, written out poems, and signed books, while others include digital goods such as having your banner on their site, being mentioned on their social media accounts, and customized articles.

I've been writing for Brutal Resonance since November of 2012 and now serve as the editor-in-chief. I love the dark electronic underground and usually have too much to listen to at once but I love it. I am also an editor at Aggressive Deprivation, a digital/physical magazine since March of 2016. I support the scene as much as I can from my humble laptop.
