Maidstone based Industrial metal outfit Spawn of Psychosis will be releasing their next album "Ministry of Transition" next week on the 15th of November.

Since the collapse of Alt-Fest and even before, Spawn of Psychosis has put their time and efforts into "Ministry of Transition", the first album to kick off a canonical series set in a post apocalyptic dystopia where the Minitry of Transition oppresses their citizens. They choose a very few fine folk to enter Sanctuary, whereas a rebellious group LVIII (58) fight against the Ministry. Tied in with the fictional narrative drive are real life topics including political and personal themes.

"I still wanted the audience to be able to make their own decisions and connections to the songs. We have the narrative, which we wish to continue after this release, but I had no intention of writing lyrics that would be spoon feeding the listener, so I wrote about things going on in the real world, things that mattered to me, but were equally open ended enough for people to make their own interpretations.

Spawn of Psychosis has appeared alongside bands such as KMFDM, Dope Stars Inc, Julien-K, and Sarah Jezebel Deva. They have also had extensive air play from independent radio station TBFM, which also nominated their cover of NIN's "Wish" for an award. Their other track, "Bodybag", was featured on both TBFM's "Breaking Bands" and Metal Hammer's "Guardians of the Riff".

I've been writing for Brutal Resonance since November of 2012 and now serve as the editor-in-chief. I love the dark electronic underground and usually have too much to listen to at once but I love it. I am also an editor at Aggressive Deprivation, a digital/physical magazine since March of 2016. I support the scene as much as I can from my humble laptop.
