Scandroid Releases Official Music Video For Tears For Fears Cover "Shout"
The main man behind Celldweller, Klayton, has recently decided to dive into the whole 80s aesthetic and pulsing synth beats from the bygone era that has inspired almost every single electronic musician to date. That being said, with his new project Scandroid, Klayton has tapped into synthwave to deliver small little love notes in a bottle to his own personal inflluences, one of them being the almighty Tears For Fears.
Scandroid has covered TFF's number one hit 'Shout' and, in doing so, has created a perfect eighties cinematic experience in a film. Disappointed parents, nerds, rebels, the stereotypical annoyed boyfriend, and lovely ladies in skin tight workout leotards. You can check the video out right below:
I was moved the instant I heard Tears For Fears' 'Shout' on U.S. radio in 1985. I’ve always had the intention and desire to cover the song since then, but it really came into focus this year. What isn’t commonly known about the original song was that it was written during a time of political unrest and had political overtones. I felt that in light of the embarrassing circus that was the recent U.S. election, it was the perfect time for me to finally cover this song. -Klayton
'Shout' initially appeared on Scandroid's self-titled debut album which is available from the FiXT Store, Bandcamp, as well as other major digital retailers.

info@brutalresonance.comI've been writing for Brutal Resonance since November of 2012 and now serve as the editor-in-chief. I love the dark electronic underground and usually have too much to listen to at once but I love it. I am also an editor at Aggressive Deprivation, a digital/physical magazine since March of 2016. I support the scene as much as I can from my humble laptop.
