Frontman Wes Scantlin of American Rock band Puddle of Mudd has decided to quit his band to join German electro-industrial-whatever now Black Metal band [AndroidKölon:58].

On making the decision, Wes Scantlin had this to say: I'd always wondered what industrial was, so I finally Googled it. I'd heard of Ministry of course, but I always thought that was thrash metal. After about 12 pages of results that sounded vaguely familiar, I came across these guys that just seemed to be doing everything wrong, and I thought, "I think this is my next thing."

Wes Scantlin has become known for his drunken outlashes during live performances, the most recent of which has led his whole band to leave him alone on stage. When talking with Fösh Jreman, guitarist for AK58, he said: To help Scantlin with his alcohol abuse, I've been drinking all the booze at the venues we play before Scantlin gets there. I think I need a new liver.

Be on the lookout for AK58's new EP coming out soon featuring Scantlin on vocals titled, “Puddle of Muddustrial”.

I've been writing for Brutal Resonance since November of 2012 and now serve as the editor-in-chief. I love the dark electronic underground and usually have too much to listen to at once but I love it. I am also an editor at Aggressive Deprivation, a digital/physical magazine since March of 2016. I support the scene as much as I can from my humble laptop.
