From Apes to Angels Releases EP "New Skin"
London/Sheffield based synthpop/wave duo From Apes to Angels have released their brand new EP New Skin. The EP comes after their first three singles 'Head & Heart', 'Perfection', and 'One For Me' and they cite Depeche Mode, Cocteau Twins, OMD, Chvrches, Pvrity Ring, and many more as influences. New Skin is described as an 80s coming of age story with present day production and ideals. You can check out New Skin HERE and you can stream it directly below:
Speaking of the title track on the EP, vocalist MIllie Gaum had this to say: That song is about how we might one day transform from a place of darkness into feeling much better – and that can take years and years. But you’ll get there, with synth master Andrew Brassleay adding, It would be great if there was a way of writing to your 16-year-old self not to worry – things genuinely aren’t so bad. But even if there was, they wouldn’t take your advice. They’d just wonder why you aren’t living in a bigger house yet. So this song is a stab at writing that ridiculous letter.

info@brutalresonance.comI've been writing for Brutal Resonance since November of 2012 and now serve as the editor-in-chief. I love the dark electronic underground and usually have too much to listen to at once but I love it. I am also an editor at Aggressive Deprivation, a digital/physical magazine since March of 2016. I support the scene as much as I can from my humble laptop.
