In an attempt to cut down on our spam-ish E-Mail sendouts, we've decided to do a weekly feature where we catch you up on all the news, interviews, and features we've done in the past week. We'll also be including any relevant news based on Brutal Resonance! So, here we go!

WRITE FOR BRUTAL RESONANCE.

How you ever read through our esteemed articles and thought, "Hey, I think I could do that?" or "I wanna write for that site," or even, "Fuck that guy's opinion, I could write so much better than that."? Well, here's your chance!

We are actively seeking writers for Brutal Resonance who have enthusiasm for Industrial, EBM, Dark Electro, Harsh EBM, Synthwave, Dark Ambient, Experimental, Noise, and all other types of underground dark electronic music. We are also seeking out writers who enjoy and love to discuss horror/sci-fi films, as well as review and interview directors/actors on said genres.

If you would like to write for us or know someone who would like to write for us, please contact us at info@brutalresonance.com with your name, what genres of music/films you would wish to cover on Brutal Resonance, and a sample review of either a recent album or film that has come out.

For additional questions, you may also contact myself at steven@brutalresonance.com. Don't worry. I don't fist...That hard.

And now that that little call out is out of the way, let's jump right into this week's reviews.

REVIEWS.

We had quite a good showing of artists from various genres this week. The best of the best this week was Hexadiode's electro-industrial throwback album Ibex which will be huge for fans of Skinny Puppy and Front 242 garnering an 8.5 out of 10. Mono Memory curated a blast from the eighties with their synthwave anthem 85. Dark Electro/EBM duo Technophobia has also impressed with their latest album Flicker OutNewcomer to the industrial/darkpop arena Chelsey and the Noise has their debut EP Losing Landscapes coming out and it's a great start, scoring a fair 7.5 out of 10.

Post Death Soundtrack, Toxic Aeon, and The Blood of Others scored a decent 7 out of 10 with their releases Beauty Eyes I AdoreSynthetic Senses, and I Used To Think Everything Was Beautiful Scoring in the mid-marks are Serbian industrial-metal band dreDDup with DeathOven (Rebels Have No Kings) which was awarded a 6.5 out of 10. Luxury Mollusc and Tapewyrm scored a 6 out of 10 with their releases Hyphen Ergot Hymen Reflux and Triptych.

INTERVIEWS AND FEATURES.

This week we showed off Rejecter's HARSH INDUSTRIAL POWER with the release of a live performance video of his song 'Dodging Heaven'. The ferocity of the music makes this guy someone to look out for. Just posted today but still worth mentioning is the interview we conducted with Paradox Obscur, so check that out if minimal synth/darkwave is your thing!

NEWS.

Electro-punkers Massenhysterie have released a brand new music video for their track 'WEIBER REGIEREN DIE WELT'. It's kinky and fun, so check that out. Mythical Records HAVE A NEW COMPILATION COMING OUT and it features a lot of neoclassical, dark ambient, and experimental music. Lastly, a place both wonderful and strange ANNOUNCED THEIR RELEASE SHOW so be on the lookout for that as well!

That's all for this week. Stay tuned for next week!

I've been writing for Brutal Resonance since November of 2012 and now serve as the editor-in-chief. I love the dark electronic underground and usually have too much to listen to at once but I love it. I am also an editor at Aggressive Deprivation, a digital/physical magazine since March of 2016. I support the scene as much as I can from my humble laptop.
