EXCLUSIVE PREMIERE: Retro synthpop project KORINE will capture your heart with their new single 'To You'
I feel quite drastic that I have just discovered the majestical sound of Philadelphia post-punk and synthpop project Korine. The duo of Morgy Ramone and Trey Frye got their start in 2017 with "Corsage", a self-released EP that caught the attention of both the underground and a few mainstream audiences. This EP led them to collaborate with label Born Losers Records who released their album "New Arrangements". This LP found audiences getting emotionally attached to them and comparing them to 80s superstars Depeche Mode nearly everywhere. However, Korine is not just a gimmicky band utilizing retro sounds to mimic legends of a bygone era; they are proudly themselves and melt hearts with their synthetic wizardry and melancholic beats.
This is exactly why we at Brutal Resonance are proud to premiere Korine's new single 'To You'. 'To You' is an impassioned and moving song and I cannot find enough words to praise it. It's perfect in all regards; production is top notch, the machine creation puts me in a dreamy state, and I found myself putting 'To You' on loop over and over throughout my day. Experience magic and retro bliss right now:
'To You' will be part of a double release containing the equally impressive song 'Uncrossed' on a limited edition 7" clear vinyl. You can pre-order the vinyl HERE.

info@brutalresonance.comI've been writing for Brutal Resonance since November of 2012 and now serve as the editor-in-chief. I love the dark electronic underground and usually have too much to listen to at once but I love it. I am also an editor at Aggressive Deprivation, a digital/physical magazine since March of 2016. I support the scene as much as I can from my humble laptop.
