This time around frontman of Australian gothic shock rock outfit Darkc3ll, Jesse Dracman lists off his five favorite horror films and soundtracks, stating that, "This was difficult to put together, let me tell you." Read on to find out what his favorite horror films are:

"Damien: Omen II" by Don Taylor

"Seriously, if you have yet to see this trilogy, DO IT! But for me, the second was pure evil. The subtle hints at the power Damien possesses
and the evil he unleashes is something else. And that wall painting.....woah...."

"The Thing" by John Carpenter

"This movie will sit for me as a timeless classic, with a great cast, amazing thriller plot and SFX that are simply ahead of its time, in an age where
SFX relied on pure hands on genius, no CGI. The soundtrack assembled flowed perfect and made for one of the all time best. And what an ending!"

"Halloween" by John Carpenter

"Again, John Carpenter is invincible in his creation of another timeless classic, even though superbly reconstructed for a modern audience by Rob Zombie (God), this movie has no flaws and its build up to one hell of a climax is just one hell of a ride!"

"The Texas Chain Saw Massacre" by Tobe Hooper

"Tobe Hooper made, what is in my opinion, nothing short of an absolute cult classic! Take a misunderstood family and a dumb group of teens into the belly of Texas, and add one of the most shocking characters of all time, and you have one damn fine piece of horrific film."

"Hellraiser" by Clive Barker

"Now, in a rare display of film shock, master Horror writer, Clive Barker not only wrote this bloody good tale of hell and beyond, but he also made the movie that introduced suffering beyond suffering. You want gore, and a character to scare your soul out of its skin, let me introduce to Pinhead."

And now for his favorite soundtracks:

"Strangeland" by Dee Snider

"Dee Snider made this amazing film, that will be a modern day cult classic in years to come, if not already, but his soundtrack packed a punch, with an assembly of awesome metal acts to rock this flick. Coal Chamber, Sevendust, Bile and so many more. This rocks!"

"Hellraiser" by Cliver Barker

"The orchestral build ups and evil undertones accompany this classic all the way!"

"House of 1000 Corpses" by Rob Zombie

"Rob Zombie. Nuff said. The man can do no wrong."

"Scream 3" by Wes Craven

"It's produced by Creed. What more do I need to say?"

"Bram Stoker's Dracula" by Francis Ford Coppola

"The operatics, the orchestral mastery, and a hell of a good track by Annie Lennox, make this a must listen for any horror buff."

I've been writing for Brutal Resonance since November of 2012 and now serve as the editor-in-chief. I love the dark electronic underground and usually have too much to listen to at once but I love it. I am also an editor at Aggressive Deprivation, a digital/physical magazine since March of 2016. I support the scene as much as I can from my humble laptop.
