Although the weather conditions where not so great this particular Friday when Combichrist where here in Gothenburg to perform at the club The Station, I'm glad we fought our way through the snow storm to get there, because this was one hell of a show! I will tell you why, right now!

Combichrist is right now touring as a support act for Rammstein in their world tour. This little club concert in front of about 200 people must be quite different from the major arenas and stages they have grown used to. I actually think this is a great change for them, to get back to the clubs, and that is something Andy expressed very clear in the end of the show as well with words like "I love these small stages, this is where we belong" as well as "I can even smell you guys from here". I'm quite sure the smell where more of a stench of sweat, since this was one hell of a concert.

Only by saying the name Combichrist will always mean that it's going to be one hell of a show and unlimited energy at stage. By doing a live show like this and only picking the best of the best, it's soon clear that they are a great hit machine. They played songs like "All Pain Is Gone", "Today I Woke To The Rain of Blood", "Electrohead", "Without Emotions", "Feed Your Anger", "Get Your Bodybeat", "Get Out Of My Head", "Fuck That Shit" and "This Shit Will Fuck You Up", all even before the encore! Andy started out by talking English, but soon was voted to go over to Norwegian by the crowed, something he was hated for by the rest of the band members. He actually even apologized for their cursing and hatred towards the police the last time they where here in Gothenburg, that was at the last SAMA ever, year 2007, I was there, and I remember quite well that I thought it was a bit over the top and actually a bit immature.

During the encore, they finished it off in great style with the harsh and sweet "Shut Up And Swallow" and finally "WTF Is Wrong With You People?".

Combichrist managed to bring everything the crowd could have expected and by doing that, I actually think that the band had one hell of a time doing so, or at least so it seemed to be.
